The Classmates.com Class Action Lawsuit is entitled In re Classmates.com Consolidated Litigation and revolves around claims that Classmates.com sent emails to subscribers that violated the law and the privacy rights of subscribers. The lawsuit is in the jurisdiction of the United States District Court for the Western District of Washington and is case number 09-45RAJ.
A 2.5 million dollar settlement fund has been developed and will be payable via PayPal or via physical check to class member who submit valid and timely claim forms. Claim forms are due no later than November 18, 2011 and can be mailed or emailed. The claim form can be found at www.cmemailsettlement.com and can then be mailed or emailed to:

A settlement fairness hearing has been set for December 15, 2011, at 1:30 p.m. The hearing will be held at the United States District Court, Western District of Washington, before the Honorable Richard A. Jones, Courtroom 13106, 700 Stewart Street, Seattle, Washington 98101. All objections and Exclusions must be in by November 18, 2011 (the same due date as the claim form).
