A class action lawsuit has been filed against Pandora for claims that they violated the privacy of their customers. The lawsuit states that Pandora released customers user name, musical preferences, favorite songs and listening history to the public in April of 2010. The leaked information was made available to the Pandora customers via Facebook “friends”. The lawsuit is entitled Peter Deacon v. Pandora Media, Inc., Class Action Case No. CV 11- and is in the jurisdiction of the United States District Court for the Northern District of California.
These privacy violation claims include Michigan residents who registered with the Pandora’s subscription service and whose Pandora account was automatically integrated with a Facebook account.
