Looks like another auto company has a class action lawsuit on their hands.  This time it does not involve the actual automobile.  The Ford Motor Credit Company SCRA Class Action Lawsuit revolves around claims that Ford violated the SCRA (Servicemembers Civil Relief Act) when it refused to provide pro rate refunds of upfront lease payments to members of the United States Military.  The Service Members Civil Relief Act states that following termination of a vehicle lease, the US Military service member is entitled to a prorated refund of any upfront payments they made that correspond to the unused portion of the lease.

The lawsuit is entitled Marc C. Demarest v. Ford Motor Credit Company and is in the jurisdiction of the U.S. District Court, District of New Jersey.  The lawsuit was filed by Mr. Marc C. Demarest who was an active duty solider of Operation Enduring Freedom.  He leased a 2003 Ford Expedition in the month of November of 2002 and then invoked the SCRA act upon returning the vehicle.
