If you bought a Cathode Ray Tube Product between the dates of March 1, 1995 through November 25, 2007 you could be a class member of the CRT Antitrust Litigation.  This lawsuit revolves around claims that the defendants conspired to raise, fix, and maintain prices of CRT Products which resulted in the consumer being unfairly overcharged.  The defendants deny all wrong doing in the case.  Cathode Ray Tube produces products such as Televisions and Computer Monitors.  The CRTSettlement Chunghwa Picture Tubes Ltd  is under the jurisdiction of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California. 

A settlement fund amount of $10,000,000 in cash has been established.  If you would like to object or exclude yourself from the settlement please do so by February 1, 2012.  A settlement fairness hearing will be held on 2:00 p.m. on March 15, 2012, at JAMS, Two Embarcadero, Suite 1500, San Francisco, CA 94111 to determine if the settlement is fair and reasonable among other things.  There are no claim forms to submit in connection with the current settlement with Chunghwa Picture Tubes Ltd as of now.  If you wish to remain in the settlement no action is needed at this time.   Please keep any Cathode Ray Tube product receipts that you have.

The Abney class action lawsuit is in the jurisdiction of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Alabama Southern Division and is case number 2:09-cv-01018-RDP.  The case revolves around claims that Abney violated Section 8 of RESPA, 12 U.S.C. § 2607, through its compensation of real estate brokers.  If you or someone you know had a home service Contract with American Home Shield or any of its affiliates in connection with the purchase or sale of a home in a real estate transaction subject to RESPA between 05-27-08 to 03-04-11 you might be a class member of this lawsuit.  The fairness hearing in the case will conclude at Courtroom 7A, Hugo L. A class action lawsuit has been filed against Verizon Wireless claiming that the popular mobile network operators firm erroneously billed pay-as-you-go data charges to some of its customers.  The lawsuit is entitled Verizon Wireless Data Charges Litigation and is in the jurisdiction of the in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.  Class members claim that they were charged a fee when they should have not been because they did not access the internet, did not access the internet beyond the Verizon Wireless Mobile Web home page, and or did not engage in any activity involving data usage.  If between  November 2007 to January 31, 2011 you were a Verizon Wireless customer and incurred a  pay-as-you-go data usage charge you could be a class member of this lawsuit. 

Verizon has denied all wrong doing in the case but has agreed to settle. A refund or credit can be requested by an eligible class member.  A settlement fairness hearing will be held on December 2, 2011 in Court Room 5E at the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.  If you wish to attend please arrive at the Clarkson S. Fisher Building and U.S. Courthouse, 404 East State Street, Trenton, New Jersey 08608 in the morning to make sure you get a seat.

www.JohnsoniTunesSettlement.com – Johnson iTunes Class Action Lawsuit Settlement

A class action lawsuit was filed against Apple regarding its Apple’s online iTunes Store gift cards.  These gift cards were sold to customers for a price of .99 cents per song in April of 2009.  Then Apple went and raised the price of certain songs at the store to $1.29.  When a user of the gift card went to buy the song for .99 cents they were charged $1.29 instead.  The lawsuit is entitled Johnson v. Apple iTunes and claims that these customers were overcharged and should of only paid .99 cents for the songs.

The case is in the jurisdiction of the California Superior Court for the County of Santa Clara and is case number 1-09-CV-146501.  All class members who submit a valid and timely claim form will receive a $3.25 Apple iTune Store Credit.  A settlement fairness hearing will be held at 9:00 a.m. on February 10, 2012, at the Superior Court of California for the County of Santa Clara, located at Department 21, 191 North First Street, San Jose, California 95113 to determine if the settlement terms are fair. 

Class members include anyone in the US who used an Apple iTunes Gift Card labeled “songs are 99¢” or similar language to make a purchase at the store before 05/10/10.  The deadline to object to or exclude yourself from the settlement is December 29, 2011.
