Oprah KFC Coupon Class Action Settlement

Oprah and the US’s largest Fried Chicken chain combined forces and the outcome was not good.  The lawsuit is entitled Kentucky Grilled Chicken Coupon Marketing & Sales Practice Litigation and revolves around Oprah giving away a free Kentucky Grilled Chicken meal coupon from KFC.  The coupon was very popular, so popular that some KFC stores did not honor it.  A class action lawsuit arouse as a result by angry customers.  The class in the Oprah KFC Coupon lawsuit includse anyone who download the coupon from Oprah.com or unthinkfc.com between May 5 and May 6, 2009 and was given a rain check or a did not get a Kentucky Grilled Chicken Free Meal.

Under the settlement terms anyone who can send their orginal Kentucky Grilled Chicken Oprah promotion coupon with a valid claim form will received a $3.99 KFC coupon (up to $15.96 per household). 

If you no longer have the coupon you can still collect $2 for each PDF coupon submitted.  You must complete and sign the claim form under penalty of perjury for the $2.00 coupon.  This is up to $8.00 per household.

All claim forms must be postmarked by January 30, 2012 and can be found at CouponMarketingLitigation.com.
