A settlement cash payment or a free iPhone case may be yours under the terms of the iPhone 4 Class Action Lawsuit Settlement. The lawsuit revolves around claims that the Apple iPhone 4 had a defective antenna that made the phone wireless signal disconnect. Imagine buying a brand spanking new iPhone only to discover the antenna causes the phone to disconnect! You would file a lawsuit too! The lawsuit is styled In Re: Apple iPhone 4 Products Liability Litigation and is Case No. 5:10-md-02188-RMW. The cash settlement will be in the amount of $15.00 and is eligible to class members who file a timely claim. All claim forms are due no later than August 28, 2012. To get a cash payment you must “(a) experienced antenna or reception issues; (b) been unable to return your iPhone 4 without incurring any costs; (c) been unwilling to use a case or free bumper 
for your iPhone 4; and (d) completed certain troubleshooting steps or are unable to complete the troubleshooting steps because you no longer own your iPhone.” according to the iPhone 4 class administrators website. A settlement fairness hearing in the iPhone 4 lawsuit will be held at the United States District Court for the Northern District of California on July 13, 2012. The address of the court is as follows: 280 South 1st Street, San Jose, California 95113. Apple has denied all wrong doing in the case but has agreed to settlement terms in order to avoid a court expenses. The settlement hearing will determine if the settlement terms are fair to the class members. All objections and exclusions to the lawsuit are due by June 15, 2012.
